On Tuesday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held a special November sale of 30 Pedigree Dairy Shorthorns, the sale comprised of entries drawn from the Bilbro, Brafell, Churchroyd, Hauxwell, Lisnamulligan, Strickley & Winbrook Herds.
Top price on the day was 1,900gns, this was paid for lot 23, Strickley Telstar 21, from noted organic breeders Messrs Robinson, Strickley, Kendal, Strickley Telstar 21 is a red, with little white heifer, who is eight weeks into her first lactation. She is out of Strickley Telstar 15th, who yields over 10,000ltrs at 5.26% butterfat. Purchased by CD & S Malkin, Cotwalton Farm, Staffordshire.
